I love Johnny Reb. I have many of his mp3s. The songs are very catchy and very funny. Most of them were written in the 60s as part of the segregation hit parade. They were protest songs about LBJ's Great Society policy which would raise white people's taxes to integrate the South. In their view it was bad enough to have to deal with blacks as equals and even worse to have to pay for it.
