we've forgotten that a few generations ago, many American "women" were married by their mid-teens
and back then people only took a bath once a week or month. Guess what? We know better now. We know that being cleaner prevents the build up of germs and disease. We know the psychological ramifications of molestation.
I'm calling bullshit now. People like you who prop up these outdated and ignorant ideas are only doing so for their own evil ends.
Edited to add:
I was only joking about the FLDS compound in that thread in AWOP, but it really is just up your alley.
Well it remains to be seen if this is all for the better or not. Every generation likes to believe it's more enlightened than the previous one, but I'm not sure that's always the case. Not too long ago the mentally ill were "treated" with electric shocks and lobotomys, and even though I'd agree that modern treatments are more humane and effective... I also question the recent trend toward medicating ourselves into a complacent stupor. But if you're going to argue that any girl [apparently the boys aren't as fragile] under the age of 18 having sex amounts to "molestation", then you're going to have to account for how other modern industrialized nations prosper with 50% of their population in a state of psychological trauma.
As I said though, it ultimately remains to be seen. Personally I think the overall trend in American society is toward coddling ourselves into a whole generation of irresponsible, overdependent babies. Time will tell.
