Well here in western new england, we have hawks, and this morning, after an easter egg sandwich, I wheeled up back to the edge of my prop, which has about an acre and a half of woodsy-like wilderness on it....anyway in a open space the size of perhaps a baseball diamond I observed 2 field mice enjoying the new spring sun....then for no reason I looked up and about 500 ft circling was a bird. Turned out to be a hawk...the bastard circled five or six times and then DOVE towards the open space and snagged one of the field mice totally by surprise from behind (the poor mouse never even flinched it was that taken unawares) and left the other mouse running for its life back into the trees. Swift and merciless.....fucking awesome.

i approve of peregrine falcons. in downtown boston, there are a bunch of them that have made nests or at least hang out on the roofs of the taller buildings(the only time i've seen them at one beacon st. no, i don't work there.)
anyhow, they just dive at 100+mph and pick off pigeons they see flying below the roofline.

Saturday I am going back up there with my .228 rifle and shoot ANYTHING that appears in that clearing, Mouse, Bird, MOOSE, SQUIRREL you name it....except Dogs and Cats. I love Dogs and Cats...and whores.....horses too for that matter
