Anyway, this morning I caught the following comment in my Inbox awaiting my OK to Publish or Reject it:
I just want to make the announcement that Your favorite porn girl Kami Andrews is throwing a party next Saturday April 14th at her house in { }. There will be a raffle for all the men and winner get to do a Girl boy girl with Kami and Kimi ... There will be a 30\$ charge at the door. Thanks.
The commenter, identified as Alek K., gave Kami's real name - off by one letter - as a gmail address and her correct address, as well as her phone number.
I thought it was odd that Andrews, who keeps up with her fans but who doesn't give out a lot of personal information, would advertise a sex party in her sleepy Pennsylvania community. So I called her and she informed me that "her ex was starting trouble" and she was going to the police about it. "People have been calling," she said, because other websites didn't see anything amiss.
Kami would have charged a lot more, anyway. She's smart.

Kami had her copy of AVN iD 2007 up on eBay, so I PM'd her via eBay to enquire about international shipping charges. She never got back to me, and so I didn't bid on it. I never bid on anything if I don't know the shipping costs upfront (saves on the nasty surprises) and if she can't answer a PM then one begins to doubt if she would have ever posted the fucking thing if I had won it...  It ended up selling for about $5-6, whilst I believe it retails at around $99.  There's a lesson in here somewhere, I'm sure...still, at least I can sleep soundly at night knowing that I haven't indirectly financed the US meth trade.

I've made a retarded bulletin on myspace about getting rid of some of my convention badges. Started the price at $40 no shipping cost. And always managed to end up selling for at least $100 by the time people were done out bidding the other. Anything for a badge and a signature I guess. Better in their hands than trash.
Oh and I've also sold my old hotel keys and 'itineraries' from conventions as well. Anything signed, its sellable.

Nope, not an 'ID' but 'iD'...it's a ringbound industry directory (clever, huh?) full of all sorts of useful addresses for all sorts of adult industry related services. Duplication, distribution, yadda, yadda,yadda...it's not some laminated ID card on a Vivid-logo lanyard.

But yes, you are correct when you state some people will buy anything, as Gen has demonstrated...I guess some people want a little bit of that Vegas magic, but can't afford the trip.
Selling a $99 retail value product for just over 1/20th of its' value (it went for exactly $5) is a shining example of the phenomenon that I now christen 'Methematics'.
Put it in your dictionary between 'meeth' and 'methrosexual'...
