After the some of ridiculous threads over at ADT decrying the nature of some porn - for example harder gonzo, the descriptions on JM product and politically incorrect subject matter, I was wondering how people feel about it here.
You probably already know my stance as I have posted it as often as I can on those idiotic threads there but I like most of this stuff. I have yet to be disaapointed by JM product. We all know I like politically incorrect humor and JM's box covers and copy are plain funny. People take stuff way too seriously and I wonder if many of them are porn fans at all or just dabble in it like russian literature.

There is a large variety of people who like porn. Most of them are regular people with regular jobs who like to take home a DVD every now and then, and surf porn. These people would not take the time to post on porn message boards. Then there are the folks who are more enthusiastic about porn and like to talk about it with others. They'll talk about likes and dislikes, and leave it at that. This is the ADT crew.
Generally, the ADT crew watches porn because they like the fantasy, not because they like to talk shit about porn stars' lives, laugh about porn star drug problems, or call male porn stars homos, as is mainly the case with this board, where most people are industry or wannabe-industry. Not everyone who enjoys porn revels in degredation and the ugly side of things, as is done here.
This is why ADT is a thriving community with lots of interesting threads, good posters, and good discussions. And this shithole is where you come for flame wars and shit-talk.

"normal" is just a euphamism for "mediocre" and i like flamewars and trying to ferret out the grimy reality of things versus any fantasy.this place is hilarious, that's why i'm here and at least part of why i'm at adt and bother paying attention to porn at all. adt's different in that it's got some cool posters and would have banned dr.pornz faster, but i find 80% of it totally boring and unreadable. some people don't like conflict and mischeif or find humor in horrible things. i do. the mix of people here is unreal.

I have gone to ADT's forum and I find the setup terrible. Porntalk has a way better setup and a cleaner interface. Most of the ADT community is ultra politically correct do gooders with validation complexes. I cringe when someone posts a link here to there and I have to click it to find out what they are commenting on.

Lee O doesn't bother me because at least he is a gamer (video games) as far as I remember and I don't remember getting too pissed at his posts anyway but DAC is a wet towel on any fun conversation over there except asian porn where he knows a thing or two. If he grew a sense of humor he would be doing the world a favor. I haven't been over there in a day or two since i posted my thoughts in that thread- I'll check out what you said dude. People need to learn to ignore porn that they don't care for so long as no one or thing gets hurt in it's making physically. Mentally- every job harms you over the long run to some degree.

Thanks Toe because I was thoroughly puzzled as to what his reply had to do with what I said.
BTW I wanted to say that your reply over there was dead on but couldn't because the tread is locked already. It is funny if you say you like JM products it is shilling and the only reason I brought it up is because people were singling out JM products on this ridiculous witch hunt. My original point still stands- porn fans like myself should keep an open mind with regard to the subject- as long as all the participants are over 18 and no one gets hurt it is all good even if it is not "your" thing. Damn it bugs me that you know half the peolple in that thread probably don't watch much porn anyway and yet feel the need to come out and criticize what others watch and demean them for watching it.
As far as the posters over there that hold opposite opinions than me- only DAC irritates me in these threads because he writes as if he is writing for the ivy league newspaper of choice rather than a porn message forum and that would be fine if he could actually write the post as he sees it in his head. Some people like these intellectual posters but ot me they fail to entertain and take far too long to determine what is being said.

there's nothing wrong with everyone agreeing on something when there's an expectation off a clearcut right answer or wrong answer. what's happening there is that so many people are reflexively giving the same answer to things there's almost no chance of there being a right or wrong answer to. that's not a healthy sign most of the time, and it's usually more of a sign that people who used to question or disagree with them have decided it's not worth it anymore and start ignoring threads they used to post in. eventually, all that's left looks cultish to new users and now that everyone agrees they run out of things to talk about. adt's got a dynamic subject given dvds keep coming out and there are plenty of people to say +1 so they're not going anywhere soon but eventually you'll have to downgrade them from a discussion to a chorus and they'll have to give up any pretenses they're any more intellectual than any other fansite.
there's already way too much unchallenged information that's simply incorrect in the world news part, but it seems to satisfy the group-agenda so it's accepted without issue. they'll be another forum you check out, realize it's a bunch of ignorant, like-minded zealots, get what you came for and leave. i give it a year-the only people left who contest ANYTHING are vince, toe, cleetus, jrv, croy and myself(half of the time just to be contrarian and bother socialists with a sense of entitlement like squirtfan). that's pretty sad, and i think many of those people aren't finding it's worth it anymore.

I'm not sure if this original post was about "harder-core" porn or about the fay-ness of the average adt poster, but on the former I'll ramble for a minute.
I think you could watch the amature sites to see which direction porn is headed. By amature I mean true amature like projectvoyeur.comwhatever and wife-lovers.com. I don't notice in the clips I've seen that people's real sex lives are going in the direction porn is going. I haven't seen husbands dick-slapping wives and blasting cum all over their faces with few exceptions. I just don't think that's where most people really want to be in their personal sex lives.
I have been a subscriber to JM's AB and Gagfactor sites, mostly due to the influence of Simps posts. I cancelled my subscription after three or so months, due to a lack of interest and a lack of time. I also was a subscriber to the meatmembers sites, which in my opinion is still the best value for your online porn dollar. Again, I cancelled due to lack of interest and time. I just don't have time or opportunity to download and watch all the content. If the purpose of the porn is to wack off then I have even less time and opportunity. Sitting in my office, where I have broadband, spanking my monkey, or sitting in the family playroom diddling myself just doesn't work for me. I'd rather be doing other things with my time like laughing with the people on this board or fishing or making love to my wife. She/we have watched porn together before at times but never the gonzo extreme stuff- she's more an andrew blake type.
As far as ADT goes, I got banned there for attacking AC Cream. I asked to be, and was, reinstated after a time. Now that I have posting privileges again, I find less and less threads in which I want to post a response. I'm not as knowledgeable about most of them re: who did what to whom in what film and don't find that they want to discuss anything deeper than that on the boards.
They have one leg up and that is their chatroom which is well-attended especially on wednesday nights and it's a place where the subjects can vary wildly from and within porn as long as no one is a pure dick and resorts to personal attacks. There has been a great effort made here by some users to make it a more regular thing and as long as that keeps up and the xpt chatroom gets more use I don't think they will have any "advantage".
Sorry for the long ramble. At this point Melissa Ashley can make one of her "poor bornyo makes boring posts because he doesn't get any pussy" responses, and we can all move along, nothing to see here.

I'm going to contribute because maybe there are some of you who watch porn, ultra-hard or otherwise, for the same reasons I do. Because there is nothing hotter than a cute girl, who looks relatively normal/innocent, getting her lights fucked out for cash and looking like she's really enjoying it. I've spent a minimal amount of time on ADT, and aside from the xxxpt having a much cleaner layout, this board is full of a different kind of asshole. This board seems full of (and this is a compliment) sophmoric hijinks and name calling, which crack me the fuck up before I go to work.
Everytime I go to ADT there's AT LEAST 1 post following the beginning of a thread telling whoever that "this topic has alredy been covered" in the snarkiest fucking way.
No such need for such doucheosity I say.
Also, with the constant ragging on "hard" porn, by which I mean JM and anything Khan "put the lotion in the basket" Tusion had anything to do with, I find myself unable to talk to those folks about anything. I'm sure Devon's eyes sparkle under that soft Vivid lighting, but I'm too busy watching Taylor Hill bust a vein, getting her throat pipe snaked by the Ironman thank you very much.

IMO, ADT has many merits. It is very different from this board, and I like them both for what they offer. I tend to actually have serious discussions over there, and often get angry at pretentious fools who disagree with me . I have also noticed a softening of the somewhat adversarial relationship between the two boards. Not so much at the management level, but at the poster level. I give for example skronker and cobalt as two posters who came here, were welcomed, and entertained us for however short their stay was. Sometimes things are just a bit too serious for my taste, in life in general. I, as I said to another person just this morning, am guilty of letting my opinions prevail over my common sense. It's a battle I'm constantly waging.

Also, the tone over ADT is constantly dead serious and/or somber. The merits of porn are always being deconstructed. Why girls should do this? Why they should do that? Blah, blah, blah. It's fuckin' porn.
And then you have the best poster over there posting that he tried to kill himself that morning. It's not that he just posted it on a whim, there was actually a poll thread DEDICATED TO SUICIDE. Now, I'm in no way making light of this person's problems. Hopefully he'll work them out and be okay, but it's just too much to post this kind of stuff on a porn message board. I expect it from dingy pornstars, but not from one of only a handful of people over there that I've come to appreciate.

Dude, I was referring to ADT in general. Out of two posts that single out the infatuation with a non-pornstar poster (hefty sunchen) and a suicidal member, where did you get that I was attacking you?
This thread sort of veered off to talking about ADT as a whole. If I wanted to attack you, you would have seen what you said in quotes or this -- smut fiend -- before my comments.

You took what I said a bit out of context. I went on to say that it is very different from this place. I come here to have fun and laugh with online compadres. I go there when I'm about to buy porn, and want to know all the movies(barring JM, of course, which is annoying) such and such is in, or all movies directed by such and such, or where I can buy this or that etc. Also, the reviews, no matter how much you might think they are shills(I'm sure some are),do provide information to me when buying, like what was done in what scene, shoes on/off, did the girl have a deliciously pained expression on her face during the anal etc . . . . .
Like I said, they are different places, with different rules, run by people who hate each other viciously. I defend JM and XPT over there when the opportunity arises.

I guess my point is I've noticed a bit of change over there also. It is still a place where I have to be careful when I post not to violate the forum guidlines. But that is the way they want it, and for the most part I think it's accomplishing what they want.
Like I said earlier, I like to see posters from there come over here, be welcomed, and add to the fun. Skronker, Cobalt, Nietzsche came for a small time, etc . . . . .
