My girl comes from the Yakima Valley in Washington. Big agriculture area, so a huge Mexican population. One of the local tv stations does a Week in Latino Culture thing Sunday mornings. It is truly a heartwrenching experience, but I just cant stop, not until the day comes that Im too frail to walk the monsters. My foster now needs a home...he's come from 52lbs to 73lbs from July 1st till now. He's too strong, my shoulders are gonna detach from my body. @renfield I'm too weirdly emotional about dogs to foster. I write checks and donate food. It's honestly the best I can do, besides my rescue dog. It kills me what people to them, especially the "fighting" breeds. Nothing rips my emotions up more than some saggy pants wearing piece of shit with a pit puppy on 25lbs of chain. It's a fucking living breathing thinking creature, not a goddam accessory.

When I was a kid, we took our dog everywhere. He never spent a weekend in a kennel because we were going out of town. I remember my dad telling a friend of his that the friend and his wife would have to find another ride to a Lions Club convention in Canada. The friend didn't like dogs, and my dad told him the dog was going and that's just the way it was.

The dog died when I was 13. 35 years and I remember it like it was yesterday.
