High Cost of Soft Drinks

High Cost of Soft Drinks - 10/15/11 06:35 AM

Yesterday after I went to the 5 for $5 Chinese joint on 34th street, I decided to buy a drink. As always I did not want to pay a lot, so I went down to the K-Mart that is inside the Penn Station. I picked a 20oz. bottle of Tropical Fantasy drink with bold printed-on price of $0.99 a-la Arizona tea style marketing. When I came to the checkout line, it was like 5 miles long and I figured that I had to stay at least 30 minutes in line to pay for the drink, so I put the drink on the random shelf and went to the nearby Duane Reade inside the Penn Station. All the drinks in the DR are expensive: cheapest bottle of plain water is $1.39, a 20-ouncer of Coke is $1.99; same as the 2-liter bottle of Coke for $1.99. I figured that a regular 16oz. glass bottle of Snapple would be cheap, but it turned out to be $2.29. It took me a while to find the cheapest drink, and it turned to be a 16oz. can of Snapple, right next to the more expensive 16oz. of glass Snapple. The can only cost $0.79 (plus dep. & tax). Are soft drinks becoming the next luxury?

I know what you mean, that's why I kill hobos and drink their blood. It's free.

You're trying to hard.

Snapple's always been pricey, but it is the nectar of the gods.

I gave up pop like 7 or 8 years ago. No real reason at the time, but I noticed the lack of caffiene helped not be so jittery. About once a year I break down and get a liter Pepsi. It's good, but not that good.

Panzer is the type of ass hole who orders supersize fountain drinks so he gets the most liquid in the cup then complains becasue his drink is warm.

And then complains because he has to piss like the Bellagio fountains on the way home.

Jerkules, why is that video only made with still photos? It's not a video if there's no video.

I'm surprised you don't drink Faygo exclusively as you look like a fucking reject gothfag/mallraver/juggalo throw back to 1998.......I wish a clerk working there would have gone into a fit of rage and taken the bottle off the random shelf you stashed it on and pounded your fucking egg shell skull into a pile of stinking mush letting the waterlogged remains of your fucking half-head ooze all over the floor but he probably didn't want to mop it up afterwards.

Doesn't Brandon's chin look so delicate in that pic??? Looks like one good punch would take the lil thing right off his head. No wonder Paperchase wants to fight him.

After a certain person made comments about Americans deserving to die, I think maybe I will send this picture and address to some former Navy Seals I know. I bet they would LOVE to meet him in person.
