facebook versus myspace - 02/01/08 06:28 AM

Facebook is crap! I can't figure out how to get it working. I can't even send messages i don't know why

Myspace is so much better

I second that. I fucking despise Facebook...it's pretty much all ads, not to mention all of that ridiculous "poking" shit.

Facebook is a bullshit site specially with that tracking software they secretly put into profiles.

I'm sure I don't really want to know, but what exactly is, um, "poking," anyway.

That does suck. Worse is when people use horrible color combinations with the background and their text. Nothing like trying to read while your eyes feel like they're going to explode. I wonder if some people do it on purpose just to piss other people off.

Then you look and it says 'occupation: graphic designer.' Yeah, right. HA!

If someone's blinding color and too many pics and graphics won't even fit on their page, or I have to scroll too see it all or wait for loading, I won't even add them.

I HATE myspace profiles with music on them, even when I love the song. It's as rude as an alarm clock the Monday after the Superbowl.

Re: facebook versus myspace - 02/01/08 11:07 AM

Yeah, as a courtesy I've kept away from backgrounds and changing the text color or putting on any graphics. Although, someone may think it is a spammer's profile due to its ridiculous simplicity. I can deal, though. I mostly use myspace to keep in touch with friends that have scattered across the country over the years.

It's absolutely nothing but a waste of inbox space. I'll get random emails from FaceBook saying "You have been poked by *insert name here*", or "So and so has sent you a virtual drink". What the FUCK am I going to do with a virtual drink??? And if you poke me again, I'll knock you the fuck out.

I dunno man, MySpace is ok for keeping in touch with people I don't necessarily want to talk to on the phone. Friends across the country, in other countries, or business contacts. I actually worked on a licensing deal through MySpace once. That, and you can just jazz it up with shit you like.

Some folks take it to the extreme with thousands of friends and stuff, but I just keep it to people I know, and bands I like.

That reminds me of this stupid feature on mydommespace.com where you can send anonymous "crush alerts" and choose from one of 5 pre-written poems to send along with it. I would get like 20 a day like Im sure every other girl on there did. The stupidest part was the option to "guess" who sent it which was virtually impossible. Luckily I dont have to deal with them anymore cause I got banned from that site after this dude with a blackmail fetish gave me his password. I went into his account and decorated his page with gay pride flags and changed his picture to this:

Hahaha!! He's married with a kid and flips his shit whenever I post this picture. I should mention he only likes to pretend he's being blackmailed. I should send him a link to this thread.

That's awesome...when all originality is gone, you have the option of 5 pre-written poems. How much do you wanna bet that Mrs Blackmail Guy will be receiving a Valentine's Day card with one of said poems written in it?

Do you understand why people get off on power and control? He's simply surrendering it to me. Of course like a lot of guys with shameful fetishes, he's usually crying and regretting it after he cums. (HAHAHAHA!!) Truthfully I'm not sure if I understand it completely myself. But in cases like this I'd rather exploit than sympathize.

Facebook is worthless and My Space would be worthless without King's mugshot thread. I would rather poke hornet's nests with sticks than spend time on either.

Re: facebook versus myspace - 02/01/08 08:14 PM

What I really hate are the people that use their myspace pages as a website. One guy actually gave me his business card, and instead of a normal website, he actually had his myspace page under homepage.
