Ashley Long Deported to England

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - AVN and XRCO award-winning performer Ashley Long, a British citizen, was denied entrance to the U.S. when arriving in Las Vegas on a flight from England on Wednesday, and deported back home.

Her agent, Mark Spiegler, told AVN.com that he spoke with Long via telephone on Friday and that she is barred from entering the U.S. for the next year.

“She doesn’t know exactly why they stopped her. They didn’t tell her and they don’t have to,” said Spiegler, who operates the spieglergirls.com agency. “They took her aside into a room and started questioning her. Went through all her stuff. She was not allowed to contact anyone cause she wasn’t officially in America yet.

“They had evidence that she [illegally] worked here and they just denied her entrance and put her on the first plane back and told her she can’t come back for one year.”

The tall blonde has been featured in numerous adult titles — most of them of the hard-edged variety — shot here in Porn Valley in the last few years; was nominated last year by AVN for Female Performer of the Year; and in January, won AVN’s Best Sex Scene Coupling – Film for her pairing with Kurt Lockwood in Elegant Angel’s Compulsion. Last month, she won the XRCO award for best single performance by an actress, also for her work in Compulsion.

Spiegler said he doesn’t believe Long’s work as one of adult’s top female performers had anything to do with her deportation. He said he suspected that authorities learned she was illegally working here “because she may have opened an interest-bearing checking account. And being interest-bearing, you have to pay taxes on it. And she didn’t know that.”

Spiegler said that while he could probably sneak her back in the country, he doesn’t think he will try, since, he said, Playboy has offered her a contract to do an English version of sorts of its Nightcalls program.

“So she’s probably going to sign that contract and do that,” he said.

Spiegler added that he’s had at least two other girls deported in the past, including Dominica Leone.

The INS is a complete joke-I spent a summer at one of the bigger immigration lawfirms getting people's h1-b and l-1as. basically, the job those firms do is tweak job requirements to fit within x-percentage of the prevailing wage so companies could get away with paying executives roughly half of what the americans who lose their jobs were paid.

the regional office was open like 29 hours a month and were morons. in fact, big enough morons to never questioned any of the petitions for dudes from places with chickens on public streets.

yet somehow, they have a super-secret task force that keeps track of a porn chick making 20g in a less-than kosher way?
the people they rubber-stamped probably averaged half a million/yr. for either 3 or 6 years, what a fucking joke that agency is.

They're just happy people show up. I haven't dealt with INS since they were folded into the Department of Homeland Security in 2001, but it was a joke. No matter who you were, you'd have to queue up at 4:00 am at some seedy office just to make your "appointment," which only has a vague resemblance to what we call "appointments" in the English language.

I have a friend that got into the country on some kind of rich people's program. She's loaded, and her dad's one of the richest men in Asia. She's doesn't even work, just lives off what her dad sends to her. But here's the thing: the INS, after Congress passed the guidelines on how this rich people's program would work, has no idea what to do. It's been four or five years now, and her case just keeps waiting for "advisement" from the legislative branch. She's legal, but her citizenship is in limbo. And did I mention she's filthy fucking rich? It's hilarious how inept they are. From her situation, I guess all they did was change the letterhead.
